Rescue Me in Brazil
It is estimated that there are between 100,000 and 2 million children and young women in the sex industry in Brazil. With the World Cup in 2016 fast approaching, those less fortunate are being exploited and pushed deeper into the trade.
This short video presentation aims to give you a glimpse into the purpose behind what we do. The Rescue Me project aims is to help rescue young, vulnerable girls and women from a lifestyle of abuse and prostitution.
Jumping out of a Plane
In 2014, one of our team – Steffanie Burgess-Bryan decided she’d do something spectacular for her 30th birthday. Something different, something daring and something way out of her comfort zone (for that matter, out of the comfort zone of most people).
She wanted to do something meaningful that would leave a lasting impressions on her friends, family and children. So she decided to jump out of a plane to raise money for Rescue Me – one of ICWN’s premier ministries.
Watch the video below to see how Steff got on and see the rest of the team – a small but cheerful group – cheer her on.
